Here at The Sleepy Village we are all about sleep optimization! More specifically we focus on pediatric sleep. We are a safe space, that is judgement and BS free. We provide you current, science and evidence based tools to optimize sleep. You can implement what you see fit and skip what you do not deem applicable to your kiddo.
We support and guide you to your idea of sleep success. We work with your parenting values & your babes learning styles to find your ideal sleep situation for your family. We look into low sleep needs vs high sleep needs, their signaler or soother comminications and personality traits.
A place for you to come and discover what you’re longing for from your littles sleep but also your sleep as the caregiver - studies suggest this is EQUALLY as is important.
Sleep deprivation is not a badge of honour and does not go hand in hand with becoming a parent. That is the narrative we at The Sleepy Village are here to ditch!
Whether that be support in what’s currently working for you or minor adjustments to avoid completely sacrificing your sleep for your babes.
*Please note, NO abnormal breathing in children is normal. What I mean by that is, open mouth breathing, snoring, gasping, long pauses in breathing (apneas), choking sounds, blue/purple lips. If you notice any of these in your child please consult your pediatrician.
We are not here to solely let our babes “cry it out” or practice methods like “extinction”!
With that being said letting a baby cry is NOT detrimental, it is natural and how they communicate.
We focus on working with your family and what is best for you. We have methods ranging from gradual to more accelerated approaches to get to your sleep end goal.
You know your babe best, if you choose a method that allows for some productive protest you will know if they are just fussing or if they are truly in need of something - trust your gut mama!
I prefer the terms; sleep supports, sleep guiding and sleep learning, we will focus on establishing healthy sleep habits and a solid foundation for your little ones. Whatever level of independence that looks like for you!

Our purpose here is to assist you in navigating through the overwhelming unsolicited advice you’ve suddenly fell victim to in parenthood. More specifically as it relates to baby, infant & toddler sleep.
We are bridging the gap between old school sleep training, “ferberizing” and hard “rules” and all together anti-sleep training.
We solely use scientifically proven and evidence backed methods & information to guide and support your kiddo to sleep success. We give you tools so you can ditch the sleep “rules” and still see sleep success.
Just because your kiddo cannot walk the day they enter this world doesn’t mean we don’t ever guide and assist them when they are developmentally ready for it.
The end goal here is fostering independence [for most, but thats for you to decide whatever level that’s right for your family] through supportive implementation of healthy sleep habits. With adjustments as necessary to lay a healthy, reliable sleep foundation.
We choose a method best suited to your needs as well as your babes and customize it further so it is specific to exactly what your sleep goals are, your parenting style and of course to your babes learning style.
